How to play:

All the players, including the Boss, choose a gangster to play from those in their hand. Players then reveal their chosen gangsters by placing their cards down on the table, face up, at the same time. All the gangsters are compared with the gangster chosen by the Boss. Three outcomes are possible:

  • Your gangster has chosen to steal less than the Boss’ and so the heist is successful. Place your gangster card face up in front of you.
  • Your gangster wants to steal more than the Boss’, they are stopped. Place your gangster card face down in front of you.
  • Your gangster wants to steal the same amount as the Boss’ gangster and is successful. Place your gangster card face up in front of you. Consequently, the Boss’ gangster doesn’t manage to steal any money. The Boss must place their gangster face down in front of them.

The gangsters chosen by the Boss always manage to steal money EXCEPT when another player’s gangster tries to steal the same amount. The Boss token is passed to the next player in a clockwise direction and the next round starts.

The game ends at the end of the 12th round (or 10th for 5 players) when all your gangsters have participated in a heist. Add together the total money won from your heists (all face up cards): the player with the most money wins!

How to play:

Abandon All Artichokes is a fast-paced “deck-wrecking” card game. On your turn, carry out the following actions:

  1. Replenish the garden row by revealing cards from the top of the garden stack until there are 5 cards.
  2. Harvest 1 of the face-up cards from the garden row into your hand. This card may be played at any point during your turn.
  3. Play any number of cards from your hand. To play a card, place it in front of you and resolve its actions. Once the card has been resolved, place it face-up on top of your personal discard pile.
  4. Discard all unplayed (or unplayable) cards in your hand face-up to the top of your discard pile.
  5. Draw 5 cards from the top of your deck to refill your hand.

When you refill your hand at the end of your turn, if none of the cards are Artichokes, you immediately win the game!

How to play:

How to play:

Taking turns and starting clockwise, each player must play at least one card from their hand onto the discard pile. The card(s) you play must either match the colour or the number of the card on top of the discard pile.

When you play your card(s), apply the card effect shown on the top card (if it has one). After all the effects triggered by the card(s) you have played, your turn ends.

Rule cards affect how each game works. There are always three in play at the start of the game and can change throughout.

A penalty requires you to draw a card. Penalties can occur in a number of ways:

  • You play a card out of turn.
  • You falsely accuse another player of making a mistake.
  • You fail to follow a rule card or game effect card.
  • You play more than one card that doesn’t share the same colour or number

The winner is the first to get rid of all their cards. They then choose whether to create a new rule card or customise a game card, making their mark on this copy of Blank forever!

Rule examples (the possibilities are endless!):

If you play two or more cards in a turn, then name a card colour which may not be played until your next turn.

If a player takes more than 5 seconds to play a card, then all other players may discard a card from their hand.

If during setup this card is revealed, then all players must take a penalty card apart from the starting player.

  5. Close a conveyor belt: remove all cards from a conveyor belt. These cards are then discarded face down, and the departure city card is not revealed.

At any time, even when it is not their turn, players can pick up one or more pieces of luggage from the table. The recovered luggage goes into the player’s hand and they can then place it back on a conveyor belt when it is their turn.

How to play:

The player with the Guard Bug begins. When it’s your turn, place one of the cards in your hand on the discard pile. The card from your hand must be one number higher or lower than the card at the top of the discard pile. You haven’t got a card in your hand that fits? Then draw a card from the draw pile. It is then the next players turn.

Cheating: you can shrewdly make individual cards disappear by, for example, dropping them under the table, throwing them over your shoulder or hiding them up your sleeve…

Guard Bug: you join in the game and keep a close eye on the other players. They will all try to make cards disappear secretly. As the Guard Bug, you are not allowed to cheat. If you catch another player in the act, you call out loud: “Caught!”. If a player is caught:

  • If correctly accused, the player adds the card back to their hand and is given a card by the Guard Bug.
  • If incorrectly accused, then the Guard Bug must take a card from the draw pile.

Each card has an action that must be resolved when played. The round ends when a player has no cards left. You play as many rounds as there are players. Have the fewest minus points at the end of the game to win!

How to play:

On your turn, you pick a card from your hand. Lay it face down on the table, slide it over to another player of your choice and state what it is, e.g. Cockroach.

  • Accept it: before picking it up, say loudly ‘true’ or ‘false’. If the player is correct, the card is passed back to you, if the player is wrong, they have to take the card themselves.
  • Pass it: the player decides to not accept the card but pass it on. In this case, the player can peek at the card before sliding it onto another player. In addition to this, the player must confirm your statement of Cockroach, or make a new claim, e.g. Stink Bug. A card can be passed on multiple times, with each player being able to either accept it or pass it, until it has reached the last player, who must accept it.

The game can end in two ways:

  • When a player gets ‘four-of-a-kind’, four cards with the same creature, e.g. four cockroaches, palmed off on him. This player has lost. The other players share in the victory.
  • As soon as a player with no more cards in his hand has to start a round. This player cannot offer a card and has lost. All other players share the victory here as well.

How to play:

A game takes place over several rounds. To start a round, each player secretly picks which card they want from the donut row by taking a selection card from their hand and placing it face down in front of them. The numbers on your selection cards represent the position of the card in the row.

Once each player has a selection card face down in front of them, everyone simultaneously reveals it. Then, starting with the lowest selection number and counting up, players look to see if they get to take the card:

  • If two or more players picked the same card, no one gets it! Immediately discard that card to the discard pile.
  • If you are the only player to pick a card, take it from the donut row and place it face up in front of you.

If a card has a star at the corners of its description border, that means it has a special power that must be activated immediately when it is taken from the donut row.

When all of the selected cards have been taken (and all powers have been resolved), refill the empty spaces in numerical order with cards from the donut deck. All players should take back their selection cards into their hands and begin a new round, which plays out just like the previous one.

The game ends when there are not enough donuts in the donut deck to fully replenish the donut row. At that point, each player counts up their points and the player with the highest total is the winner!
