Bellum Magica

Being bad never felt so good. As an evil overlord, recruit a host of creatures to your kingdom – from simple goblins to terrifying dragons – and assign them roles. Some will gather resources and explore the surrounding area, while others will join your army to attack the human kingdom!

Collect treasure and become the richest, most powerful evil overlord of all time!

What’s in the box?

  • Five castle boards
  • 25 place cards
  • 76 creature cards
  • 50 treasure chest tokens
  • One bonus token reserve
  • 45 bonus tokens
  • One resource token reserve
  • 60 resource tokens
  • One dice

How to play:

The game is played in successive turns, with each turn representing one day. A day is made up of several events that must be carried out in the following order:

  1. Choose an active horde – the captain rolls the dice to decide which horde will work today.
  2. Gather resources – each evil lord takes food and glyphs collected by their castle’s active horde from the reserve.
  3. Call back scouts – each player counts the treasure cards brought back by their castle’s active horde. The player with the most treasure cards immediately wins a metal chest.
  4. Attack – each player can either attack the human kingdom OR attack another player’s castle to win potential spoils.
  5. Recruit creatures – each player can recruit creatures by spending their food and glyphs.

If a player has 10 or more chests after the attacking phase then the game is over. Add up the treasures and the richest player wins the game!

Break the Code Strategy GameBreak the Code Strategy Game

Break the Code

Oh my code! Your goal is to guess the numbers and colours of the cipher tiles. Ask the best questions and be the first player to decipher the code to win!

Will you break the code before your opponents?

What’s in the box?

  • 20 number tiles
  • 21 question cards
  • Four game screens
  • Memo pad

How to play:

In a two-player game, on your turn, you may perform one of the following two actions:

Ask a question: choose one of the six face up question cards to ask your opponent. Your opponent must answer truthfully. Once you have asked the question, remove it from the game.

Guess your opponent’s tiles: when you believe you know all of your opponent’s tiles, you may choose to guess your opponent’s tiles instead of asking a question. State the number and colour of your opponent’s tiles from left to right.

Your opponent answers either “correct” if you were right, or “wrong” if you were not. If your opponent guessed your tiles and only some were correct, do not tell them which were correct, as they can guess again on their next turn.

Should the first player correctly guess the other player’s number yiles, the second player has one chance to guess the first player’s number tiles. If the second player correctly guesses the first player’s number tiles, the game ends in a tie.

In a 3-4 player game, you are trying to guess hidden number tiles in the middle of the table!

cloud city blue orange strategy board game

Cloud City

The city is kickstarting one of its most exciting projects with buildings so high that they rise above the clouds. As an architect, put together the most ambitious project than your rivals. Using your models, see what your project will look like from above the clouds to earn the most votes from the City Council!

What’s in the box?

  • 96 buildings
  • 93 walkways
  • 48 cloud tiles
  • 10 special request cards

How to play:

The game is played in 8 rounds starting with the player who has the starting tile number 1. Gameplay continues clockwise. On your turn, carry out the following actions in order:

  • Expand the base of your city – choose a cloud tile from your hand and add it to your city face up in front of you.
  • Choose and place buildings – on all cloud tiles there are two building locations. Each location is represented by a space that is the colour of the building that should be placed on it. Take the two buildings you need from the box and place these on their corresponding locations.
  • Build walkways – walkways will allow you to connect your buildings and will win you council votes. If a connection between two buildings of the same height is possible once your buildings have been placed on your cloud tile, you can take the corresponding walkway and place it across
    the two buildings.
  • Draw a cloud tile – draw a new cloud tile so that you always have three in hand.

When all players have built their 3 x 3 city model, votes can be counted. Add together the council votes for each walkway built in your city, based on their length. The value of each walkway is marked on it. The player with the most council votes wins the game!

Collect polygons to create sets which will win you points.

Seems easy? Well, watch out! All the pieces you collect that aren’t part of a set will lose you points at the end of the game! Don’t be too greedy and make sure to keep an eye on your opponents’ pieces!

What’s in the box?

  • 80 polygons
  • 12 score tokens
  • 12 power tokens

How to play:

Turns are divided into three stages:

  1. Pick one or more polygons from the game space: you must take a minimum of one accessible polygon from those in the game space.
  2. Add the chosen polygon(s) to your collection: add the polygons you picked on your turn to your collection. A collection corresponds to all your polygons that have not yet made up a set.
  3. Complete one or more sets: once you have added the polygon(s) to your collection, if you have one or more sets you must submit them all.

Each time a colour set is discarded, take one score token found at the top of the matching colour pile. Each time a shape set is discarded, take a score token from the smallest pile. If there are several piles of the smallest size, choose which one to pick from.

On your turn, you can use one and only one of your 3 power tokens to give yourself an
edge. Each power can only be used once. At the end of the game, turn over all your unused Power tokens. You will get a bonus point for each one.

The game can end in two ways:

  1. There are no more bonus tokens at the end of a player’s turn. Turns stop so that each player has played the same number of times. During this last turn, as an exceptional rule, it is not required to take the minimum one polygon. You can complete one or more sets or use a power token.
  2. There are no more polygons. The round must be completed so that each player has played the same number of times.

The player with the highest score wins!

Venture down mine shafts by turning up cards from a deck to collect treasure.

Before the next card is turned up, you have the chance to leave the mine and stash your finds, including any gems you get on the way out! How far will you push your luck?

What’s in the box?

  • 35 expedition cards
  • 16 decision cards
  • 100 precious stones
  • Eight explorer figurines
  • Eight chests
  • Five barricade tiles
  • One game board

How to play:

When you advance into the cave you reveal the next expedition card. There are three types:

  • Treasure card: take as many precious stones from the reserve as there are rubies on the card.
  • Trap card: if the same trap is revealed a second time, all players in the cave immediately return to camp emptyhanded.
  • Relic card: go directly to the “Players’ Decision” Phase.

Player’s Decision: before a new expedition card is revealed, each player still in the cave must decide to continue the expedition and delve deeper into the cave, or to return to camp to put their precious stones safely in their chest.

If you return to camp, gather all rubies that were left on Treasure Cards. If multiple players are leaving at the same time, no one takes the relic cards. However, if only one player leaves, they take all relics in the cave.

The game ends when the last barricade tile is placed on the fifth cave entrance. Count your rubies – the player with the highest score is declared the winner.

Take turns to pick up dice from the middle of the table and place them on your sheet. The next dice you take must match the others… watch out for the bombs!

With four levels of difficulty, you can keep rolling until you become a certified Dizzle superstar!

What’s in the box?

  • One pad with four different levels
  • Four pens
  • 13 dice

How to play:

On your turn, roll all the dice and sort the dice in ascending order. In a clockwise direction, everyone takes exactly one die and puts it on a field on their game sheet. The following rules apply:

  • The die must be put on an unused field.
  • The die must be put on the fields matching the number of pips.
  • Every player must put their first die chosen horizontally or vertically next to any field that has already been crossed out.

If there is no available field next to already placed dice you can “jump”. Jumping means that the player can put the next die on any available field next to an X on their game sheet. Only when a player is no longer able to place dice according to the rules are they allowed to choose to roll again or drop out. When all players but one have dropped out, the last active player has exactly one more opportunity to choose a die.

The game ends once all rounds have been played. Points are now awarded. Each player adds up the points they earned for special fields minus the points for bombs and brown piles.

Whoever earned the most points wins the game.

Doppelt so Clever

Next in the series is Doppelt so Clever!

With five new dice-marking challenges and a new action beyond the re-roll and “use one more die” actions of the earlier game, you really have to be twice as clever to score big!

What’s in the box?

  • Six dice
  • Four pens
  • Score pad

How to play:

On your turn, roll all 6 dice at once, then choose a die and place it on your scorepad. Cross off that value and colour on you sheet. The white die is a wild colour and can be used in place of any other colour. But remember, the white and blue dice will always combine.

Put all dice that show a lower value than the currently selected die on the silver tray printed in the box. If you’ve picked the lowest value die, no dice are placed on the silver tray. Dice on the silver tray can no longer be used.

With the remaining dice, repeat this process twice till you have three dice on your game sheet. Place the three remaining dice on the silver tray. The other players can now choose one die to use to mark a space on their score sheet. A round ends after each player has been the active player once.

As you go through the game, you’ll unlock combos and additional moves. You can earn reroll abilities and extra dice. The fox bonus gives you extra points on your lowest scoring area, so make sure to score in every colour!

With new colours and new scoring methods, you’ll have to think twice as much!

Once everyone has taken their last turn, it’s time to count up the points! Highest score wins! If you score over 320 points, you’re twice as clever!

Solo mode available, so the gaming never stops.

The ingenious dice game!

Score bonus points by being the first to check off all boxes in a column, and all boxes of the same colour. Will you score big?

What’s in the box?

  • 3 number dice
  • 3 colour dice
  • Scorepad
  • Six pens

How to play:

On your turn, roll all six dice. Choose one colour dice, and one number dice, which you place in front of you and mark off the relevant box on your player sheet.

Any other player may now choose any combination (one colour die and one number die) from the remaining four dice and mark their own sheet.

The ‘?’ number and the ‘X’ colour dice are jokers. If a player chooses the ‘X’ they can choose a colour of their choice. If they choose the ‘?’, they can choose a number between 1 and 5. When a joker is used, you must cross out an exclamation mark on your sheet.

When you fill a column with crosses, you get the points below that column. If you do this first, you get the top beneath that column, the second player who fills a whole column circles the bottom number.

If you complete a colour, you can claim that colour bonus. If you’re the first to do so you get the higher value.

The game ends immediately after the turn in which at least one player succeeds in circling
The second colour bonus (the value does not matter, either high or low).

Whoever has the most points wins!

Create and adapt your own species in a dynamic ecosystem with hungry predators and limited resources.

Traits like Hard Shell and Horns will protect you from Carnivores, while a Long Neck will help you get food that others cannot reach. With over 12000 different species to create, see who will best adapt their species to eat, multiply and thrive!

What’s in the box?

  • Watering hole board
  • First player marker
  • 129 trait cards
  • 24 species boards
  • 48 wooden markers
  • 180 food tokens
  • 6 food token bags
  • 6 player aids

How to play:

Each round consists of four phases.

Deal cards: deal each player 3 cards, plus 1 card for each species they have in front of them.

Select food: the number at the bottom right of each trait card represents an amount of plant food. Each player secretly chooses 1 Trait Card from their hand and puts it face down on the watering hole.

Play cards: play as many trait cards as they want or save them for the next round. There are three things a player can do with each trait card when it is their turn:

  • Play a trait
  • Create a new species
  • Increase body size or population

Feeding: the first player reveals the food cards on the watering hole, adds up the food numbers on these cards, and places that much plant food from the food bank onto the watering hole. Each player must feed one of their hungry species. Feeding ends when all species have food equal to their population, or when all hungry species are no longer able to eat.

If the population of any species is reduced to 0, it goes extinct. Discard the species board and trait cards on that species and draw a number of trait cards equal to the number discarded.

If the deck had to be shuffled during the deal cards phase, the end of game scoring starts at the end of that round.

Add up each player’s points to determine the winner!
